What is this notice?

You are receiving this notice because a childcare center, school, or other organization (the "Organization") that you have a relationship with uses Prece to send newsletters and other email communications. This notice explains how your contact information is handled in that process.

Who is responsible for your data?

The Organization that sent you the newsletter is the data controller and is responsible for how your contact information is collected, used, and managed. Prece provides the technology platform that the Organization uses to compose and deliver newsletters, but Prece does not control who receives emails or what content is sent.

If you have questions about why you are receiving communications, or wish to update or correct your contact information, please reach out directly to the Organization that sent you the email.

What information is used?

To deliver newsletters on behalf of the Organization, Prece processes limited contact information provided by the Organization, which may include:

Your name
Your email address

Prece may also collect technical data related to email delivery such as whether an email was opened and the approximate time of opening. This information helps the Organization understand engagement with their communications.

How to unsubscribe

Every newsletter sent through Prece includes an "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of the email. Clicking this link will immediately remove you from that Organization's newsletter mailing list. You do not need to create an account or log in to unsubscribe.

Please note that unsubscribing from newsletters does not affect other communications the Organization may send you through different channels, such as in-app messages or direct emails from staff.

Data retention

Your contact data is retained by the Organization through the Prece platform as long as they maintain an active relationship with you (for example, while your child is enrolled). If you would like your data to be removed, please contact the Organization directly.

Third-party services

Prece uses Resend, an email delivery service, to send newsletter emails on behalf of Organizations. Resend processes your email address solely for the purpose of email delivery and in accordance with their own privacy policy.
